I uninstalled a program but now, when I try to open certain files, I receive a message saying the program can't be found. Can I get Windows to open the file using a different application?
Hold the Shift key and right-click a file, then select Open With. Click on the program you want to open the file with (or use the Other button to locate it), checking 'Always use this program to open this type of file'. Click ok. See also the tip, Unassociate files with the wrong programs.
